With the Latino population set to triple by 2050, the already alarming number of cancer diagnoses in the Latino community could rise just as sharply, or even more drastically, according to a new compilation of r#comment-1013

It is unfortunate that in some cases, outdated traditional belief systems are increasing the risk for the Latino population as this is a factor that is possible to control whereas many others related to cancer are not. Women must come to respect that both male and female doctors will behave professionally in the diagnosis and treatment of their patients and should not be feared. As well, each and every person must be willing to talk about and learn about illness and to go for routine check ups to reduce their odds for being diagnosed with cancer when it is too late. Early diagnosis is one of the best ways of increasing the odds of beating cancer.
