Thank you so much for writing a article about this wonderful celebration. You have given a nice summary of the history & cultural importance of the celebration.

This is the 9th year for this event which has traditionally been held in downtown Oceanside. The event has outgrown its existence as a street festival and has therefore needed to re-locate to the Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside. As a correction, the FREE, family-friendly festival will take place from 10am - 4pm. There is free parking all around the mission and paid parking ($5) on the mission grounds.

If you would like more info about the event, you may visit our event website, http://www.mslrdiadelosmuertos.com.
