NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “DISTRICT” will host an outreach event at, TWO O’CLOCK PM (2:00PM) on the 19th day of January, 2012 the goal of this event will be to provide interested contractors information regarding upcoming opportunities related to the Proposition R Bond Program.
The outreach event will be held at Southwestern Community College District located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista, CA 91910.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
CLARIFICATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION DOCUMENTS
No. 102.12 – Clarification No. 1
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that Southwestern Community College District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the “DISTRICT” will receive up to, but no later than, TWO O’CLOCK PM (2:00PM) on the 25th day of January, 2012 the required prequalification documents for the “Central Plant, Field House and Stadium Improvements and the Corner Lot Projects”.
The Prequalification submission date has been changed from the January 11 to January 25, 2012.
The Prequalification submittals will apply only to the specific projects listed above and the trade packages noted in “Attachment A7″ of the Notice to Contractors Calling for Prequalification Documents No. 102.12. They shall be received in the office of the Program Manager, at Southwestern Community College, located at 900 Otay Lakes Road, Room 1688, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
Each firm must conform and be responsive to the prequalification documents, copies of which are available now and may be obtained at www.buildswc.com.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Sealed bids will be due on February 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Prevailing Local Time, unless otherwise amended, at Metropolitan Transit System, Procurement Dept. 1255 Imperial Avenue, Suite 1000, San Diego, California 92101. Bids received after that time or at any other place other than the place stated herein will not be considered.
MTS hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement; Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26) will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.
This project is subject to a capital assistance grant between San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS), and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration.
