Nativity Prep Celebrates Mexican Independence Day

The parents of students at Nativity Prep Academy, a tuition-free, college-preparatory middle school in southeast San Diego, hosted a fundraiser on Mexican Independence Day that raised over $300. During this second annual celebration, students, teachers, staff, and family members of all ages came together for an afternoon of food, fun and games. They enjoyed a wide variety of Mexican food, such as nachos, tostadas, pozole, and more. NPA would like to thank all of the parents for organizing the event, especially, three of the students’ mothers, Mireya Lira, Georgina Valdez, and Margarita Vera.
