Yaelisa & Caminos Flamencos presents “En Tablao”

The riveting sights and sounds of flamenco by Yaelisa & Caminos Flamencos, the nation’s premiere flamenco company, will fill the air in a spectacular display of Spain’s revered dance form at San Diego’s own Turquoise Café Bar Europa. Company director and renowned flamenco artist, Yaelisa, will present an all-Spanish company for her California tour, which begins in San Diego, where she thrilled audiences with her extraordinary virtuosity, amazingly intricate footwork, and elegance of style and beauty. Yaelisa and Juan Ogalla, from Sevilla, Spain, collaborate with Spanish musicians and singers to create a raw, electrifying dynamic with lots of passionate improvisation.

“En Tablao” features the superb and immense talents of two principal dancers – Yaelisa, founder and Artistic Director of Yaelisa & Caminos Flamencos and her partner, guest artist, Juan Ogalla, direct from Sevilla.

“En Tablao” is flamenco up close, personal, and very sexy,” says Yaelisa. “Performing in an intimate atmosphere like The Turquoise allows us to rock the house. The last time I worked with legendary guitarist, Chuscales, was in San Diego where we brought down the house at the Lyceum Theater. Together with fabulous and appealing dance partner, Juan, and our superb musicians, we will literally fly.”

These three performances take place Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23. Information: 858-488-4200. Website: www.cafeturquoise.com/calendar.
