The event will be a Mexican Fiesta type setting for all the guests, whom were asked to come dressed in Mexican clothing if desired. They will have zarapes draping the tables, with jarros con flores de papel (made by mom), and of course banderas de papel de china overhanging the dance floor. There will also be a Mariachi band playing at both the Church and hall during dinner followed by a Ballet Folklorico performance.
This will be a most memorable event not only for April but for the whole family. Michelle is a third generation Mexican-American on Mom’s side and a second generation on Dad’s side. Family members will be traveling down from Los Angeles and other cities. Also, Michelle will be honored with the presence of family and friends from as close as Tijuana, B.C., Mexicali; Tepic, Nayarit; Guadalajara, Jalisco; Waukegan, Illinois; El Paso, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; and Northern California.
The Master of Ceremonies/Disc Jockey will be Charlie Bradley. The mass will take place at Monte Carmelo Church in San Ysidro, CA
