San Ysidro School Districts Recognizes Two of their Own

At at recent San Ysidro School Board meeting Frank Paredes, Director of Information Management Services and Bertha Paredes, Director of Purchasing were recognized for obtaining over $3.5 million dollars in federal funding for telecommunications and internet services for the children of San Ysidro.


Rick Hernandez Joins the Staff of the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture

Rick Hernandez has joined the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture staff as Management Assistant and Public Art Program Assistant. Rick will take on the responsibilities of public information officer and volunteer coordinator for the Commission in addition to assisting in the Commission funding programs and special projects.


Latina Appointed to National Post

Mary Cruz Campo of San Diego was recently appointed to the board of directors of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. "Mary has been a real asset to the local affiliate for the past six years and we are proud to see her move on to this prestigious national position," said Mark Salo, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of San Diego and Riverside Counties. Campo is the immediate past president of PPSDRC and is also past president of MANA.

Ricardo Huerta Promoted to Controller For Neighborhood National Bank

Ricardo Huerta has been promoted to controller for Neighborhood National Bank, a subsidiary of Neighborhood Bancorp., according to Robert M. McGill, president and chief executive officer of Neighborhood National Bank.

Huerta will be responsible for all financial reporting for Neighborhood National Bank. In addition, he will supervise the finance, accounts payable and wire departments for the bank.

Huerta joined Neighborhood National Bank in 1998 as a assistant controller. Previously, he held financial analyst positions with FPA Medical Management and Kaiser Permanente-Medicare.

Huerta received a Bachelor's degree in International Business from San Diego State University, where he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. A resident of Chula Vista, he is a member of the Inroads Alumni Association.
