Neighborhood House Association Sponsors Town Hall Meetings

Neighborhood House Association and its partners will undertake a community-wide assessment and is inviting community members to participate in a series of Town Hall Meetings. These "open mike" meetings will be held throughout the County at different locations and on different dates. All community residents will have an opportunity to voice any comments they have about the conditions and issues that are of greatest concern for their families. Everyone is encouraged to share their insights about community needs, resources and the delivery of needed community services. Facilitators will be available to insure residents wishing to speak to issues and concerns will get an opportunity to do so.

The meetings will be held in the North County Coastal area on Wednesday, October 10th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Head Start North Coastal Area Office at 616 North Coast Highway 101 in Leucadia. In the North County Inland area on Wednesday, October 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Central Elementary School Auditorium at 122 W. 4th Avenue in Esco-ndido. In the Clairemont Area, on Thursday, October 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Clairemont Lutheran Church located at 4271 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. In the Central-Southeast San Diego Area, on Friday, October 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood House Association Office at 841 South 41st Street, San Diego.

The Town Hall meetings are just one piece of the community-wide assessment being held by Neighborhood House and its partners. The information from these meetings will be combined with data from other sources such as surveys, focus groups and other community assessments. It will be put into a report that will serve to create a plan that will address the community's current and future needs. The resulting document will serve in developing an integrated model for future services as well as insure services and resources meet the needs and concerns of the families in our community.
