School Garden Scholarships Available for K-12 Schools in San Diego County

The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego County (RCD) and California Department of Education are offering two $500 school garden scholarships to K-12 grade schools in the San Diego region.

All K-12 grade schools are eligible to apply but must be located in San Diego County. The awards will be given to schools that can clearly demonstrate how a school garden program, activity, or lesson plan meets a specific state standards, skill or concept for a particular grade level.

The Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego is a nonprofit, nonregulatory agency organized under division 9 of the State Public Resources Code. Our mission is to help protect, conserve and restore natural resources through information, education and technical assistance programs. The RCD works with landowners businesses, schools, other agencies and the general public to provide positive conservation stewardship throughout the county.
