**Spanish Village Art Center’s “December Nights” celebration will take place on Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, from 5p.m. to 9 p.m. Spanish Village is home to over 37 Artist’s studios, guilds and associations with a wonderful addition of guest patio artists for this event. A first time feature this year will be the Monument to Sugar Display, a giant, incredible tree complete with live photo opportunity with Santa. A full lineup of music and dance, refreshments and Artist’s Designed Holiday Wreath Sale is slated for both days. Spanish Village is located between the San Diego Zoo and the Natural History Museum. **The sea is full of natural sounds-cracking icebergs, rumbling earthquakes whistling dolphins and more. Sounds of the Sea, a 2,000 square foot exhibition will be on display at the Birch Aquarium located at 2300 Expedition Way in La Jolla, July 18 – Jan 5, 2004. Through hands-on stations guests will learn all about underwater sounds, from the effect human sounds have on the ocean world to how marine animals use sounds to search for mates, find food, and navigate their way through the depths of the sea.

**November 28th from 5 to 7 p.m., Old Town’s Bazaar del Mundo will be transformed into a “Festival of Lights” with thousands of twinkling lights, life-size Nativity, a jolly Santa Clause, special international music and dance performances and the spirit of giving.

The free festivities will culminate with the dramatic unveiling of the Bazaar’s holiday light decorations and Nativity, which will be on display through New Year’s Day. Visitors strolling through the complex will marvel at the vivid poinsettias and luminaries that transform the Bazaar into a holiday marketplace. Entertainment will include Hispanic Mexican Folkloric Ballet, Combodian Dancers, The Germania Choir, and the Irish Dance Troupe. Throughout the day other musical performances taking place will include Marimba band and Tinku.

**Lamb’s Players Theatre celebrates 25 years of its unique play cycle Festival of Christmas this year with one of the most popular scripts: “It’s Christmas and It’s Alive”. Will begin previews December 2 through December 28. Tickets are $22 - $42 and may be purchased by calling 437-0600.

**San Diego REPertory Theatre is offering FREE tickets for victims of the fires to a very special preview performance of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol. This performance will take place on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 PM at San Diego REPertory Theatre’s Lyceum Stage in Horton Plaza. If you are a fire victim of the fires and would like to attend, please call the box office at 619-544-1000 to reserve your tickets for this special performance of this holiday classic.

**Magnificent poinsettia plants, nearly 300, turns Balboa Park’s historic 1915 wood lath Botanical Building into a glowing tribute to the holidays. The seasonal display will be dedicated at a free public ceremony at 11 a.m. Dec. 5 and will remain on view until January 7th, 2004. The Botanical Building is free and open to the public.

**Begin your holiday fun by attending the annual Holiday Festival, which includes an afternoon of children’s activities, seasonal musical entertainment and lighting of a holiday tree. These free activities will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. December 6 in Memorial Park. 360 Third Avenue. The 41st Annual Starlight Yule Parade along Third Avenue follows the festival. Festivities include pictures with Santa, games, prizes, popcorn, snowcones and much more.

** Grammy Award winner guitarist Jose Feliciano joins mariachi bandleader Nati Cano as part of the tenth annual Fiesta Navidad Concert. This year’s concert takes place on Tuesday, December 9 at 8 p.m. at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Fiesta Navidad featuring the musicians of Mariachi Los Camperos, takes the audience on a musical journey through the various regions of Mexico. The dancers of Ballet Folklorico Ollin colorfully complement the 12 musicians and singers with dances from Colonian Mexico.
