Southwestern College CSEA Hosts 17th Annual Holiday Craft Fair

All Proceeds to Benefit SWC Students

CHULA VISTA – Don’t know what to get your relative, friend, or significant other for the holidays? Southwestern College’s 17th Annual Holiday Craft Fair might have that special present you’re looking for.

Sponsored by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 524, the Fair will take place Thursday, December 4, 2003 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Southwestern College Student Union East.* Free parking will be available.

Featuring a host of vendors from across San Diego County, the event promises convenient and economical one-stop holiday shopping. There will be beautiful Christmas decorations, hand-crafted items, silver jewelry, ceramics, hand-made soaps and candles, quilts, wooden items, floral arrangements, crystal jewelry, and much more.

“We’re sure you will find that special gift you’re looking for,” said Janie Bachman, CSEA spokesperson, adding that “if chocolate is what you’re looking for, a one-pound box of See’s Candy can be purchased at the discounted rate of $11.”

All proceeds from the Holiday Craft Fair will benefit Southwestern College student scholarships. About $1,500-$2,000 are raised every year and distributed through special scholarships such as the Sharon Bitonti-Brandon Memorial Chapter Member Scholarship, the CSEA Student Scholarship, and the CSEA Transfer Scholarship.
