Southwest Voter Registration Education Project to Celebrate San Diego Latino Vote 2001 Banquet

Over 200 elected officials, corporate, labor, and community leaders will gather for the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project (SVREP) Latino Vote 2001 Banquet

Southwest Voter Registration Education Project Latino Vote 2001 Campaign banquet will honor SVREP's successful efforts to increase Latino voter registration and participation in the electoral process. SVREP's San Diego Latino Vote 2001 Campaign is a non-partisan community outreach effort to register new voters for the upcoming primary elections in the San Diego County area. The campaign will focus on Latino communities with significant demographic changes that stand to gain in adjusting the local and state political jurisdictions through the redistricting and reapportionment process by electing the candidates of their choice. Democratic state insurance candidate, Assemblyman Tom Calderon (D-Los Angeles) will be the banquet keynote speaker.
