Thanksgiving A Family Tradition

Our passage through life is delineated by episodes that bring significance and meaning to our existence. One such episode is the recurring gathering of one's family and friends on November 25, normally in one's home to offer "Thanksgiving" to our Creator for his gift of life.

We gather as a family, united by love, to share our happiness and to rejoice at the bonds that holds us together in the great community of humanity. We give thanks to our God for his blessings and his providence.

Thanksgiving is one of those few holidays that strengthens us as human beings. It links us in a historical bond to the period of time when we first paused to give prayerful Thank You to the good Lord for being by our side and providing for our health and well being.

This day November 25, 1999, as we gather to share in our Thanksgiving dinner, be it turkey, chicken, fish, and yes even tacos with refried beans, pray for all of those who are without families or faith in God and include them in your prayer of thankfulness.
