SDCS Food Services Aids Students with Prom Night

With the rising cost of prom tickets and expenses for that special night, high school seniors work for many months to help "foot the bill". The Food Services Department at San Diego City Schools came to the rescue of several high school seniors by giving away Prom Packages that included 2 tickets to the Senior Prom, a photo package, and a $40.00 gift certificate for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory in Fashion Valley.

Seniors from 21 high schools entered and won the giveaway. The winners included: Rox-anna Rodriguez from Claire-mont High School, Claudia Pidilla from Crawford High School, Sequoa Parker from Garfield High School, Miguel Orozco from Gompers High School, Kenneth Hill from Patrick Henry High School, Trang Tran from Hoover High School, Shannon Forth from Kearny High School, Stephanie Grant from La Jolla High School, Thelma Martinez from Lincoln High School, Nicole Read from Madison High School, Marie Viray from Mira Mesa High School, Janet Diaz from Mission Bay High School, Candace Flake from Morse High School, Theresa Wittenberg from Muir High School, Montserrat Rivera from Point Loma High School, Levon Lewis from SCPA High School, Teresa Roman form San Diego High School, Edward Castro from Scripps High School, Akesha Weiss from Serra High School, Kristine Gonzales from Twain High School, and Michael Robinson from University City High School.

The lucky winners will eat and dance the night away, with pictures to keep the memory alive for a lifetime. Congratulations to all!
