The Waterfront Expo is Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24 at the Cruise Ship Terminal Tent at B Street Pier, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The Maritime Career Fair is part of the annual San Diego MariFest 2003, sponsored by Coordinated Maritime Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to maritime information and education. MariFest is an official 50th Year Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Partner with the Department of Defense.

“All events take place on Harbor Drive on the waterfront in San Diego.” CMS project developer Jonathan Buser relates, “From the big tent at B Street Pier to the SS Lane Victory and the Berkeley Ferryboat and on The Big Bay itself, MariFest is brimming with family-friendly fun!”
Other scheduled activities during MariFest, May 22-26: Propeller Club Maritime Day Luncheon, Tugboat and Workboat Parade, Wreath Laying Ceremony, Stella Maris Sea Sunday, Asian Cultural Heritage Exhibits and Entertainment, Information Center. AARP will obtain oral histories of Korean War and World War II veterans for the Library of Congress. CMS Maritime Services’ students will participate and be trained by AARP volunteers to continue with the oral history project and collect the fascinating memories and anecdotes of America’s veterans. The SS Lane Victory will again visit San Diego for MariFest.
The grand finale of MariFest is a Red, White, Blue Salute to all of our armed forces men and women, past and present.
