The San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and San Diego MANA partner once again to bring you the ‘Building Latina Success’ (Mujeres Con Éxito) Conference. The conference was first launched to provide education, career growth and development for women and because of its successful turnout the past two years, additional workshops and speakers have been added to create a full day program. The conference targets Latina businesswomen, but provides opportunities for all individuals in business.
The keynote speaker this year will be Lt. Col. Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch (Ret.), the Highest Ranking Hispanic woman in the U.S. Army’s Combat Support Field and the founder of Educational Achievement Services. A special presentation will also be given by Sarita Maybin, an award-winning professional speaker who has trained thousands of people in 46 states and around the world. Her presentation will talk about “Adapting, Succeeding and Thriving in the Workplace”.
Nine workshops will be presented this year including: “Small Business Financing”, “Critical Human Resource Issues for the Small Business”, “How to develop a Business Plan” and “The Role of Latinas in Family Owned Businesses” for Entrepreneurs. For all professionals, workshops on “Balancing Work and Family”, “Cross Cultural Communication Issues in the Corporate Workplace”, “Safeguarding your Investments in an Unstable Environment”, “Advocacy, Politics and how it affects your Business”, and “The Image You Portray” will be offered.
