Boxer Campaign Kick-Off

United States Senator Barbara Boxer kicked off her re-election campaign in San Diego on Tuesday, March 16 as part of her three-day statewide kick-off tour.

The event will highlight Senator Boxer’s continued work to increase the availability of quality after-school programs. When Senator Boxer was elected, there was no federal commitment to funding after-school programs. The Leave No Child Behind Act, signed into law in January 2002, included the Boxer-Ensign amendment that will provide after school services to 3.5 million students by the year 2007.
