Political Notes:

Coalition to oppose Ward Connerly's so called "Racial Privacy Initiative"

U.C. Regent, Ward Connerly and his American Civil Rights Coalition is gathering signatures to place his so-called "Racial Privacy Initiative" on the November ballot. This initiative would eliminate racial classifications on government forms relating to contracting, employment and admissions to colleges and universities.

Everyone needs to educate themselves and inform others about this measure and ask people not to SIGN ANY PETITIONS IN FRONT OF STORES!

The proponents of this proposal use misleading language, as they did in getting Prop. 209 on the ballot.

You are invited to join the broad based community coalition opposing this measure - meet on Thursday, March 14th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Malcolm X Library. Info: Mshinda Nyofu at (619) 370-4670.
