Chula Vista Residents Graduate From Bishop's School

The following Chula Vista residents graduated from The Bishop's School in La Jolla on Saturday, June 12 and received recognition at the Awards and Commencement Ceremonies.



Carlos Trejo

Sara Heron, the daughter of Gerry and Stephen Heron, will attend Yale University. On Awards Day Heron, who was inducted into the Cum Laude Society earlier in the year, received the Upper School Music Award.

Matthew Kushnir, the son of Dr. Yaroslav and Suzanne Kushnir, will attend Claremont McKenna College.

Jean Lacombe, the son of Yanique and Jean Lacombe, will attend Princeton University. The recipient of a La Jolla Rotary Club Scholarship, on Awards Day Lacombe received several prizes: the Links Achievement Award, the African/American Visionary and Inspirational Leader Award, a joint award given by the history department at the University of California, San Diego, and Bishop's.



Patricia Ruiz

Jaime Rodriguez, the son of Gloria Stone, will attend Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.

Patricia Ruiz, the daughter of Estela Gomez de Ruiz and Oscar Ruiz, will attend Santa Clara University. Ruiz is the recipient of a Rotary Club Scholarship.

Carlos Trejo, the son of Priscila and Carlos Trejo, will attend Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.



Jaime Rodriguez

The Bishop's School is a coeducational, college preparatory independent day school consisting of grades seven through twelve. Founded in 1909 and located in the center of La Jolla, Bishop's is affiliated with the Episcopal church.
