"The Soprano's Last Supper"

Producers of "Joey & Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding," are pleased to announce the opening of "The Soprano's Last Supper" beginning Friday, June 15th at 7:30 p.m. in its new location at the historic Culy Theatre. Guests will sit in on a secret meeting of the "Mafia Commission," get "made" into the notorious Baritone Family and see how things are done "Black East Style." We promise an evening of illegal gambling, dinner, dancing, and good old mobster fun. A ticket price of only $49.50 includes a complete Italian buffet, dessert, coffee and three hours of interactive, non-stop entertainment and fun. Afro-Cuban All Stars

The music of Afro-Cuban All Stars is rich in tenderness and nostalgia suggesting a world of tropical ease and pre-revolutionary innocence. Brought together by musical director Juan de Marcos González, the 13-member Afro-Cuban All Stars are a multi-generational mixture of the best musicians Cuba has turned out in the last half century. Snow White in Chula Vista

South County CYT (Christian Youth Theater) will present a musical adaptation of Snow White at Rancho Del Rey Middle School, 1174 East "J" Street, Chula Vista, June 15 through June 24. Tickets are $6 for children, $8 for adults and $5 for groups of 10 or more and the bargain matinee on June 16. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 588-0206 or 800-696-1929.

 

"Boomers"

One of the many original theatre pieces created by Lamb's Players Theatre, "Boomers", and one of San Diego's most popular musical hits. Packed with four decades of music and memories, Boomers is a rollicking salute to the generation born between 1946 and 1964.

The baby boom generation changed the music, the mindset, the entire culture of the nation. It's filled with some of the best including Where the Boys Are, I Got You Babe, Blowin' in the Wind, Going to the Chapel, Yesterday, Light My Fire, We Shall Overcome, Stairway to Heaven, Respect, and many more. This musical revue of a generation returns to Lamb's Players resident theatre in Coronado, located at 1142 Orange Ave., in Coronado, where it will play June 15 through July 29. El Dia de San Juan

Interested in having a little Latin flavor, join us for our 8th Annual Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration, Sunday, June 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mariner's Point in Mission Bay Park. Featuring Mc Ismael "East" Carlo a Puerto Rican actor and poet, Los Principes de Meringue, Hector Rivera y La Conciencia, Johnny Polanco y Conjunto Amistad, Orgullo Boricua Bomba & Plena Dancers and Musicians.

Cost is $4, kids 12 and under are free with proceeds to benefit La Casa de Puerto Rico. You can bring your own beer and BBQ's but no glass containers or pets. There will be a Free Kids Corner with 5 different rides, food vendors selling Puerto Rican, Mexican, Cuban, Filipino, New York style Hot Dogs and BBQ chicken. Puerto Rican T-shirt vendors. Parking is free.
