U.S. Bank Brings America's Pastime to Barrio Logan Kids

On Saturday, July 21st, U.S. Bank brought eighty kids ages 6-14 years from Barrio Logan, to Qualcomm Stadium for a baseball skills clinic. The kids took the field at noon at the Q and received instruction in fielding, batting, pitching and running the bases from the San Diego Padres coaches, including first base coach Alan Trammel, bench coach Rob Peciollo, hitting coach Duane Espy, and pitching coach Greg Booker.

Padre hitting coach Duane Espy provides batting instructions to future baseball stars.

U.S. Bank hosted the "U.S. Bank / Padres Coaches Clinics" as part of its sponsorship of the U.S. Bank Junior Padres Club.

Each aspiring ball player left the clinic with a U.S. Bank Junior Padres T-shirt and two tickets to Saturday evening's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

A drawing has been set-up for a second clinic that is scheduled for August 18. Parents may register their kids at any U.S. Bank branch, but must do so before the August 6 to be eligible. Eighty names will be randomly selected, and winners will be notified by telephone.
