Celebrate the 4th of July

The San Diego Symphony Summer Pops kicks-off the 4th of July fireworks, Friday July 2 at the Embarcadero.

Red, White and Blue Parade at Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas

Preschoolers are invited to bring decorated wagons and strollers and to wear red, white and blue at Quail Botanical Gardens’ Red, White and Blue Parade, at 230 Quail Gardens Drive, Encinitas, on Saturday, July 3 at 10:00 a.m. to march around the Gardens to the music of John Phillips Sousa. Participation is free with admission. Barbacoa anual del Star of India Auxiliary es un lugar perfecto para ver los fuegos artificiales en la bahía

El transbordador Berkeley de 1898, uno de los mejores lugares para ver los fuegos artificiales en la bahía, recibirá la Barbacoa Anual del Día Cuatro del Star of India Auxiliary. Las festividades empezarán a las 7:00 de la tarde el domingo, 4 de julio con una banda estilo Dixieland, mostrador sin anfitrión y buffet delicioso de barbacoa. La plataforma de observación del barco histórico Berkeley proporciona una vista espectacular de los fuegos artificiales que estallan sobre la Bahía de San Diego. Fun, Food and July Fourth Fireworks on the Ferry Boat Berkeley

The 1898 ferryboat Berkeley, one of the best spots to see fireworks on the bay, will host the Star of India Auxiliary’s annual July Fourth Barbecue. The festivities start at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 with a Dixieland band, no host bar and delicious barbecue buffet. The observation deck of the historic Berkeley provides a spectacular view of the fireworks exploding over San Diego Bay. The cost is $30 for adults and $15 for children under 12. Children under 5 are free. For reservations and information call: 619-234-9153 ext. 101. Fireworks begin at 9:00 p.m. reservations are a must. Proceeds benefit the Maritime Museum of San Diego.

It’s Back!  The 4th of July Fireworks & Firefighters Picnic At Kennedy Park In El Cajon!!!

The City of El Cajon  and El Cajon Firefighter’s Association will be hosting  the Independence Day  Celebration in El Cajon . It will be open to the public.

Events will be as follows:

Fireworks  simulcast to music  on  KYXY, 96.5 . Viewing area  will be at J.F. Kennedy Park, in El Cajon  at  4th Street and E. Madison Ave., beginning  at 9:00pm.  

Picnic at J.F. Kennedy Park starting  at 10:00am until 6:00pm.  Some of the festivities; Live music, assorted food booths , old and new fire apparatus displays, Kiddy Train rides,  Astro. Jumps and much more. All food sale profits go to East County Firefighters Toy Drive.

Celebrate the Fourth of July in Escondido

Marine Band San Diego, crafts for children, free Museum admission and fireworks just some of the excitement scheduled.

The 41st Annual Escondido July 4th Celebration will be held on Sunday, July 4, 2004 in Grape Day Park and The Center campus. A day of family fun featuring free Museum admission, free tours of The Center, magic shows, the Fern Street Circus, baton twirlers, local bands and orchestras, a patriotic program by American Legion Post 149, Marine Band San Diego and a tremendous fireworks display. This event is presented in cooperation with the City of Escondido and sponsored by the Linden Root Dickinson Foundation, American Legion Post 149, The Center, the Escondido Historical Society and the North County Times.
