YMCA Youth & Family Services’ Celebrate “Arte Flamenco”

Benefiting YMCA Balboa Community Youth Center

Enjoy an evening of food, dancing and fun with YMCA Youth & Family Services’ Arte Flamenco. This unique fund-raiser will take place at the Courtyard Marriott in Old Town, Friday, March 5th, from 6 –11pm. A savory Latin dinner, casino fun, silent auction and flamenco performances are all included with the price of admission. Bid on bull fighting lessons, exciting trips, or many of the exciting gift baskets.

This event will benefit YMCA Youth & Family Services’ new Balboa Community Youth Center (BCYC). The center offers a variety of programs to youth in the mid-city area, giving youth the opportunity to grow and learn. Cyber Y Technology Center is located in BCYC and provides the community a state of the art computer lab and the opportunity to take a variety of free classes. The Cyber Y Technology Center not only provides basic computer classes, it has become a tool that empowers youth, parents, and seniors opportunities to learn new computer programs and have fun; all within the mentorship of caring, and sharing adults. The proceeds to Arte Flamenco will help support the many classes and supplies needed to keep Cyber Y relevant. Advance tickets are only $50.00 or $60.00 the day of the event.

YMCA Youth & Family Services started with a single shelter for runaway and at-risk youth back in 1970, and now operate three homeless shelters for youth. YFS programs include the prevention and treatment of child abuse, basic living skills training, gang and teenage pregnancy prevention, counseling services, mentoring, after-school programming, and much more.
