Efrain Avena & Elizabeth Bonner Exchange Marriage Vows

The El Cajon Apostolic Church was the chosen site for the marriage of Efrain Avena of Otay, Tijuana and Elizabeth Bonner of New Mexico this past February 3, 2001 at 12 Noon. The Bride, dressed in shimmering Chiffon wedding dress with Vail, embracing a beautiful Bouquet of white flowers, slowly walked down the center aisle on the arm of her Father, George Bonner.

Preceding the Bride were the wedding party which included Bridesmaids; Merari Torresday, Karina Torresday, Maggie Bonner, Ariadna Avena, Karla Guevara, Idania Torresday. Ushers; Julio Blanco, Fernando Garcia, Gabby Osegueda, Beto Perez, Santos Torresday, Josue Torresday; Flower Girls; Alejandra Garcia & Alejandra Blanco. The Groom, Efrain Avena, meanwhile, waited nervously at the altar.

Pastor Daniel Contreras recited the vows of marriage before the more than 300 guests including the Parents of the Bride, Mr. & Mrs. George Bonner & Angela Torresday Bonner, Sister Angie Bonner, Jaqueline Bonner; Mr. & Mrs. Jose Luis Avena & Clementina Guevara Avena, the Guevara Sisters; Yadira, Ariadna, and Karla.

At the hour of 3:30 P.M., the wedding party and their guests retired to the Salon del Alba in Tijuana, B.C. for the wedding feast and celebration. The feast was completely "al estilo Mexicano" as was the music that played romantic ballads for the Bride and Groom.

The now happily married couple left for Cancun for their "Luna de Miel." Upon their return. Efrain & Elizabeth will make their first home in Spring Valley, Ca.
