Salas Campaign Off and Running

The Mary Salas for 79th Assembly District campaign, is off to a robust start with her campaign war chest showing $135,000 total raised and almost $96,000 cash-on-hand in the latest campaign finance filing. Salas has picked up the endorsements from the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) and the Deputy Sheriff’s Association.

“I am working hard to ensure the voices of the constituents of the 79th Assembly District are going to be heard in Sacramento,” said Salas. “It is so heartening to see the immense support from friends and neighbors, elected officials and many, many others. They know that I am committed to making sure the people of the 79th AD have the quality schools, public safety, good-paying jobs and affordable health care that they want and deserve.”

Joining campaign co-chairs Senators Dede Alpert, Denise Moreno Ducheny and Christine Kehoe, Salas’ endorsements include the CA Democratic Legislative Women’s Caucus, CA League of Conservation Voters, Laborers International Union of North America, Chula Vista Police Officers Association, Chula Vista Firefighters Association, and the Mexican American Business and Professional Association.

The 79th Assembly District, stretches from the beaches of Coronado to the border of Mexico and encompasses several cities including the southern portion of San Diego, the western portion of Chula Vista, and the cities of Imperial Beach and National City.
