Minimum Age Lowered to Qualify for Brand-New Senior Apartments at Rolling Hills Gardens in Chula Vista

Chula Vista, Ca — The City of Chula Vista and Pacific Bay Homes have announced that minimum age requirements to qualify for one of 116 apartments homes for seniors at Rolling Hills Gardens, located in the award winning master-planned of Rolling Hills Ranch in Chula Vista, have been lowered from 62+ years of age to 55.

"This is great news for prospective applicants," said Cathie McGill, sales and marketing director for Pacific Bay Homes. "Not only does this increase the number of qualified applicants, but will also provide greater opportunities for many parents and grandparents to live close to their family members who already reside in Rolling Hills Ranch."

According to McGill, Rolling Hills Gardens is being built under an agreement with the City of Chula Vista. Rental rates and income qualification levels have been set by the city and are subject to change annually.

"We recently celebrated our Open House at our leasing center where prospective residents were provided with more information about floorplans and it gave them the chance to tour selected models," said McGill. "Move-ins are slated to begin in a few weeks. Applications are coming in quickly. We expect all 116 apartments homes to be pre-leased prior to move-in."

One-bedroom, one-bath apartments, which may be occupied by a maximum of two people, start at $735 per month. Two-bedroom, two-bath apartments, available for up to four people, start at $916 per month. Apartment interiors range from 764 to 972 square feet. Annual household income may not exceed $31,850 for one person; $36,400 for two people; $40,950 for three people; and $45,500 for four people.

Located at the end of East H Street in the foothills of Chula Vista, Rolling Hills Ranch is a 1,200-acre master-planned community. To obtain floor-plans, a rental application or additional information about the Rolling Hills Garden Apartments, please call (619) 482-7583.
