SDCHCC Offers Scholarships to San Diego County Hispanic Students

The San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SDCHCC) is pleased to announce the awarding of scholarships to San Diego County Hispanic students. Applications for the program are now available to 2001 graduating Hispanic high school students and continuing college students who need financial assistance.

The SDCHCC began awarding scholarships in 1989 with the purpose of promoting Hispanic education. For over 100 years, the SDCHCC has presented opportunities for community minded companies and individuals to partner with the Chamber at events that raise funds for educational purposes. As Hispanic youth reach their educational goals, they will provide inspiration and serve as an example that it can be done. Our youth have the potential, we only need to give them the support and encouragement to continue their quest. The SDCHCC believes that business must take an active role in promoting this ideal.

Students interested in applying for a San Diego County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce scholarship can call the Chamber office at (619) 702-0790 for additional information.

Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents of San Diego County. The deadline to apply is May 14, 2001.
