To raise awareness and encourage charitable giving for the foundation’s initiatives, the International Community Foundation is hosting Music Without Borders, a benefit concert featuring world-class guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas.
The Music Without Borders event on April 26 supports the International Community Foundation’s programs in the San Diego-Baja California region. Their initiatives include the Border Health Campaign, which addresses cross-border health care issues, and the Give2Baja Campaign, which creates a sustainable and balanced community in Baja California by increasing philanthropy in the areas of education, health care, community development, the environment, economic development and culture, and the arts.
The Music Without Borders benefit concert featuring Spanish classical guitarist Sáinz Villegas begins at noon and will be held at the International Community Foundation’s historic Noyes House in National City. Tours of the Noyes House and the Organic Garden will also be available during the event.
In addition to the Music Without Borders event, Sáinz Villegas will be performing complimentary concerts at Sweetwater High School and Olivewood Elementary in National City April 21 and at the MAAC Community Charter School in Chula Vista April 23.
“The International Community Foundation’s initiatives in education, the environment, arts and culture maximizes donors’ social return on their investments,” said Richard Kiy, president and CEO of the International Community Foundation. “By partnering with Mr. Sáinz Villegas to provide the free concerts, we can support music education in right here in San Diego, as more than 700 students and members of the National City and Chula Vista communities will be able to enjoy the performances.”
