Pardee Homes, residents, local businesses and community organizations joined in celebrating the Third Annual Ocean View Hills Founders’ Day, a family event commemorating the founding of the Ocean View Hills community in 1998.
Founders’ Day was held on Sunday, September 21 at the Ocean View Hills Neighborhood Park, in South San Diego. Approximately 2,000 event guests were treated by Pardee Homes to a complimentary barbeque and a day filled with family-oriented games and activities.
“Pardee Homes is pleased to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ocean View Hills at this annual community event,” said Jimmy Ayala, Director of Community Development for Pardee Homes. “We are committed to helping build community pride and spirit within our master-planned communities through events such as Ocean View Hills Founders’ Day.”
The community is located east of the I-805 and south of the Otay River. Ocean View Hills consists of approximately 1,110 acres of land and is home to the high-tech Ocean View Hills School and Ocean View Hills Neighborhood Park. At build out, the community will include approximately 4,700 residential units, three parks, schools and a three-phase, 96-acre corporate center.
Celebrating with Ocean View Hills residents and Pardee Homes at the event were local business owners, community organizations and representatives from the Chula Vista Elementary, San Ysidro and Sweetwater Union High school districts. At the event, Ayala presented each school district’s superintendent with a $2,000 donation on behalf of Pardee.
