National City Middle School the Best of Class

The year of 2007-2008 for Exploratory Technology is another one to remember for the students of National City Middle School. They continue to dominate in many areas of technology at the San Diego County Fair.

This year the results are in and the Middle School students were awarded the “Best of Class” award for the first time ever for this South County school in their five years of competing against high school and college students.

Ms. Jo P. Griffith, assistant coordinator at the San Diego county Fair Student Showcase, was just amazed at what the students from National City Middle School have accomplished this year, AGAIN!

Mr. Neil Bruington, Fair coordinator, said “It seems that the students are having a lot of fun learning what technology is really all about.”

Mr. Henry Gutierrez can’t say enough about the students who participated this year. This kept the winning torch burning for National City Middle.

All together the awards students won this year, consisted of two “Best of Show”, thirteen “Best of Class”, thirty-one First Place awards, twelve Second Place, nine Third Place, and one Fourth Place for a grand total of 59 awards. Congratulations to the winners!
