Volunteers Needed for 5th Annual Beautify Chula Vista Day

Mark your calendars for this year’s Beautify Chula Vista Day and join hundreds of Chula Vista residents working to keep their city clean! In its 5th year, the community cleanup will be held on Saturday October 6th from 8am to noon at Harbor-side Park. The City of Chula Vista and I Love A Clean San Diego are again working in collaboration to bring you the most comprehensive cleanup in the region!

Beautify Chula Vista Day is unique because it combines many different activities meant to improve the community. This year’s event will again feature a cleanup, storm drain stenciling, graffiti removal, and tree planting. This multi-faceted cleanup is enjoyable because you get to experience different rewarding activities, plus meet other like-minded citizens in the community.

All volunteers are asked to register for the event on the Beautify Chula Vista Day website, www.beautify chula vista.org, a new site launched for this year’s event. On the website, residents may read about the four different volunteer activities, and choose which projects they would prefer. Coordinators are also looking for volunteers who are interested in acting as team captains, leading a group of approximately 20 volunteers in a specific volunteer activity.

I Love A Clean San Diego and the City of Chula Vista will be providing commemorative event t-shirts to all volunteers as well as a complimentary breakfast to energize them for the day’s activities. To express thanks for participants’ hard work and dedication, volunteers can return for a free lunch after the cleanup where coordinators will raffle off some great prizes! Come join the fun and enhance the environment in which you live. Simply visit www. beautifychulavista.org and make a commitment to your community. Register today!
