Rotary Wine Taste Chula Vista

The 5th Annual Rotary Wine Taste Chula Vista, presented by Village Club Card Room, is considered by many to be the premiere event in Chula Vista. It takes place on Saturday, October 6, 2007, from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, at the spectacular Salt Creek Golf Club (formerly the Auld Course), situated in the foothills of Mt. San Miguel in Chula Vista.

Chaired by Lisa Johnson, Director of Community Relations for The Corky McMillin Companies, this special even-ing offers guests an opportunity to sample delicacies from a variety of premier restaurants and taste some of the region’s finest wines. The event also features an elegant silent auction, a classic car show, a catered VIP area for sponsors, and live entertainment. Willie Buchanon, former San Diego Chargers Defensive Back and Green Bay Packer Hall of Famer, will emcee the evening. Entertainment is provided by flamenco guitarist David de Alva of Madrid, Spain, whose rhythm is a unique blend of traditional flamenco and world fusion style music.

All proceeds from the 5th Annual Rotary Wine Taste Chula Vista benefit the charities of the Chula Vista Rotary Foundation, such as the Boys & Girls Club of Chula Vista, The Salvation Army, Chula Vista Nature Center and South Bay Family YMCA. Additionally, it will benefit international projects such as Thousand Smiles, Humanitarian Mission to Peru, and Polio Eradication. Last year’s Rotary Wine Taste Chula Vista raised more than $45,000 for these charities, as well as the Tsunami Relief efforts.

Please join us in making the 5th Annual Rotary Wine Taste Chula Vista another successful fund-raiser for so many deserving children and adults! Tickets purchased in advance are $45.00 and $55.00 at the door.
