The San Diego Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s announces its Second Annual Scholarship and Partners Gala, to be held at the Wyndham San Diego at Emerald Plaza, on December 2nd, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight. NSHMBA-San Diego celebrates scholars Maria Gonzalez, Robert Paz, Phillip Goldstein, Juanita Penagos, Nivalda Rodrigues-Pinguet and Marcos Santos-Rivera who together received approximately $25,000 from NSHMBA in 2006.
The Gala will also recognize local chapter corporate partners for their continuous support and assistance in realizing the mission of the organization in 2006 and to raise additional funds for NSHMBA scholarships in 2007. The Gala will consist of a cocktail hour with a no-host bar, sit-down dinner, raffle and dancing. The keynote speaker will be Octavio Martinez, Qualcomm Director of Test Engineering whose team is responsible for silicon chip product and test development for the Qualcomm Single Chip Solution.
The National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), created in 1988, mission is to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development. NSHMBA works to prepare Hispanics for leadership positions throughout the U.S., so that they can provide the cultural awareness and sensitivity vital in the management of the nation’s diverse workforce and in 2006 awarded a total of 1 million dollars in merit scholarships throughout the United States.
