Lowrider 2006 Tour Hits San Diego on June 25th

QualComm Stadium to host the latest stop of the nationwide tour

Customized cars, bikini contests, live music by Lil’ Rob and Baby Bash.  These are just a few of the attractions that thousands of Lowrider fans can expect at Go-Lo Tour’s San Diego stop on June 25th. QualComm Stadium will play host to the daylong event, built upon the culture and spirit of Lowrider’s 2.6 million readers.

The festivities will kickoff Sunday at 11 a.m. and feature all of the essentials that have made this Tour so successful. Show cars will be on display all day, with customized low-riders, bombs, sport compacts, and bikes competing. Each show vehicle is eligible for the $10,000 Quaker State Championship Cup, awarded to the overall points leader at the Grand Finale Show in October.

One of the most highly anticipated spectacles of this year’s San Diego stop will undoubtedly be the Hydraulics Competition (HOP) sponsored by CC Hydraulics. Commonly known as “car hopping,” specially accessorized vehicles will actually bounce and dance for the crowd, sometimes to such extremes that they actually flip over.

With Rockford Fosgate as a sponsor, there’s no doubt that music and sound will be a major component of this event. Hit recording artists Lil’ Rob and Baby Bash will headline the show performing all of their latest singles. Several surprise guests are also scheduled to hit the stage with live jams guaranteed to get the crowd jumping.

Add in prize giveaways, vendor booths, and the World Famous Bikini Contest and you’ll see why Go-Lo continues to bring in thousands of spectators at each stop. San Diego will be no different, with a day of nonstop excitement at the Tour’s final Southern California appearance.
